No customer service at all !

This feed back adresses the Kodak Photo Plus EU vendor and NOT the product I've not used.
The reason is Kodak Photo Plus EU sent me a version of the digitizer which was not the one posted on their site, and, according to Kodak support in the US, was an outdated version.
I immediately sent an eMail to ask for a return, but I've never received an answer, which is unacceptable.
Fortunately, with many eMail exchanges during 10 days, Kodak Support finally accepted the return and sent me the corresponding shipping sticker. I hope to have a full refund when the product reaches the return center in Ireland.

    Eumig 820 has two theeth

    Hej!
Works much better than I thought, but a two teeth film feed forward system is a much more of a film saver and more reliable than just one tooth. The Eumig 820 projektor has two teeth, and is much better than the Eumig 824 that has only one tooth! To add a system with two theeth would be revolutionary.

    Falls Short of expectations

With the advertised 8Megapixel resolution i expected to get muche better results than with the 3,2Megapixel other digitizer that i have but the final result is not worth the difference in price. Also after just a couple of hours in use (not sequencial) it's already making a strange, loud and not at all healthy noise when reeling the film.

    NEEDS IMPROVEMENT

For now, it's quite an expensive toy. Has only one resolution for scanning, without possibility to choose a lower one (there are now AI programs for upscaling) and the result is often a little too granulated. The transport system seems not to press the film properly, so there are a lot of frames lightly without focus. And the SD card slot is put on the back, not easy to operate it... Should be on the front. Another issue was (just once for about 20 sec) a strange sound from inside, as the gears are not working properly...

    KODAK Reels Film Digitizer

I have transferred about 90 minutes so far without any problems- Works great, very easy to use and navigate menu. Captures film at 20 FPS, where as 18 FPS would have been more ideal for me, there is no way to change this other than post processing. Overall I am very pleased with the results.
