Q Does the camera come with ZINK paper?

A Yes. The KODAK SMILE comes with a starter pack of ZINK paper, so you can get started right out of the box.

Q Can I save my photos to an external memory device?

A Not only does the KODAK SMILE contain enough internal memory to save up to 5 photos, but you can also insert a microSD card (up to 256GB) to save even more photos.

Q Do photos print automatically?

A The KODAK SMILE introduces the option to either print automatically or to print only when you tell it to. That means you can take your time getting the perfect shot before committing to a print.

Q Do I need to replace the batteries?

A No. The KODAK SMILE comes equipped with a rechargeable battery that lasts for up to 40 prints on a single charge.

Q How do I charge my KODAK SMILE Instant Print Digital Camera? 

A To charge the battery, you will have to plug the provided micro USB cable into any wall adapter rated at 1 amp (not included). We do not recommend using a computer or laptop to charge the KODAK SMILE because it will significantly increase the charging time.

Q Can you choose when to print or does the camera print automatically?

A Every time you take a picture, you can preview it on the LCD screen. Feel free to add a border or filter before pressing the print button.

Q Is any type of paper compatible with this camera?

A The KODAK SMILE was designed to work only with KODAK ZINK Photo Paper. Other papers may be incompatible with this product.

Q How many sheets can I put in at once?

A You can load 10 sheets (one 10-pack) of KODAK ZINK Photo Paper at one time. Please see the section on Inserting Photo Paper in your full user guide to ensure paper is being loaded correctly (user guide can also be found here).

Q Does the camera's printer print pictures from other devices?

A The KODAK SMILE Instant Print Digital Camera only prints the pictures you take from the camera itself or from an inserted microSD™ card. It does not connect to other devices.

Q What memory cards can be used with my KODAK SMILE?

A The KODAK SMILE accepts microSD™ cards and flash memory cards from all brands, up to 256GB.

Q Is a microSD™ card required for this camera?

A The camera includes internal memory to store up to three (3) images. If you want to save additional photos or store them on a computer, you will need to have a microSD™ card in your camera while you take your pictures.      

Q How do I turn on the flash for my camera?

A The flash can be turned on, off, or set to auto mode from the camera’s settings menu.

Q How do I reset the device?

A Use a pin to press the reset button, located next to the charging port.

Q Why are my photos blank when they print?

A The KODAK ZINK Photo Paper may have been loaded upside-down. When loading the paper, ensure that the blue calibration sheet is at the bottom, and the rest of the paper is facing with the glossy side up.

The paper may have been pushed too deeply inside the device. Remove the paper and replace it gently inside the compartment.
